My Favorite Holiday is the 4th of July! Most is Christmas, or Easter or Thanksgiving, but the 4th of July is Mine! On July 4th 1776 The Declaration of Independence became a great symbol and document for our country. The Declaration of Independence is more than just a piece of paper. It is a symbol of our country's independence and commitment to certain ideas. A symbol is something that stands for something else. They wanted us to be able to look at the Declaration of Independence and immediately think of the goals we should always be working for, and about the people who have fought so hard to make these ideas possible. So on this day i have a huge sense of Gratitude for all the men and women who have gone before us to make this land the land of the free and the brave. I know we have many flaws with our government, nothing is perfect, but I am so grateful for the rights and privileges I have as an American. How grateful I am that I am not a Afghanistan Women, or a women living in a 3rd world country trying to protect my family from horrible diseases and theft and violence and starvation. How grateful am I that i don't have to worry about covering my whole body, not speaking, doing what I am being told, even if it is not morally right or something that makes me feel uncomfortable. I am grateful i am an American Women. So today I feel thanksgiving. To do I feel a sense of Christmas, i feel so grateful for my Savior and all he has done, I feel grateful for the Book of Mormon, I feel grateful for the wonderful gift of the HEAT! AND SUNSHINE:) I feel grateful for the gift of wonderful BBQ, and Fireworks in the sky! I feel grateful for the laughter of Family's and Children spending time together on this great Holiday! I love the 4th of July!
I love this song by Lee Greenwood,
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the
From the lakes of

Across the plains of
From sea to shining sea.

Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the
So have a Great 4th of July...God Bless...and have fun!

Jenna, you are so cute! I love the 4th of July too. There's nothing better than spending time with friends and family you love.
Jenna, I totally love the 4th of July and if anyone asks me what my favorite holiday is I say the 4th of July. Of course I like it because it is in the summer and everyone is happy and relaxed and it is so close to my birthday. As a kid I loved anticipating my birthday during the 4th. We will see you here soon. Good luck on finals.
