Goals

Today, I got a wonderful surprise! I have been helping out this lady around her house, and today she gave me this sewing machine:) I decided around September that one of my goals for 2009 was to make a quilt during the summer, now it is possible! The funny thing is I don't even know how to sew a button, but I will learn this summer, I want to make a simple quilt! I love the quilts on urban outfitters and anthropologie and I am going to make my very own. I want to use retro, flowers, with 70's type coloring for my fabrics, and I want to make it in a strip form, as you can tell from my quilting vocabulary I don't know what I am talking about but I can picture it! I want the stripes of fabric different widths. I am excited to use my new sewing machine and make a quilt in the summer of 2009! So since that goal will happen, I will share other goals I have, I want to be able to run 5 miles with out even thinking its hard, which means in other words I want to be back into shape, because it is good for me, and because I want to play soccer more again. Another goal is to learn spanish, and feel confident speaking it. So those are my 3 main goals for 2009! I am so very excited about this upcoming year, for Mexico, for the summer with my family working, and sewing and running!ha And for the fall, with my friends, and Scott:) I have a good feeling about this year, and wish everyone a Happy New Years:)
